Motivating home visit!

Uploaded by rmaxtorres.
Tonight I left the home of a Happy Family! On May 6, Sam felt compelled to take his family to church. It was apparent to him that it would be appropriate to come to God when he was not in a moment of crisis, as had been his practice before. On that particular Sunday, he felt to raise his hands and surrender himself to God. In his own words, he did NOT want to leave. Even to the point of feeling such a sense of relief that his knees were buckling. Truly, Sam has been born into God's Spirit. Recently, he has been experiencing a greater hunger for things of God, and sensing the spiritual attacks to discourage his present desire to grow in God.

It was wonderful to sit with him this evening to encourage him in his current process of Spiritual experience and growth. Please pray for Sam, and his extended family as well, as they grow together and submit themselves to God.

College Anyone?

Uploaded by rmaxtorres.

Our last High School Senior Prom!(surprise ending on this picture story)
This is the last High School graduation for our kids, and we have the first of our college graduates this summer! I am hoping that at some point I will have all of my children in college at one time.

I hardly ever ask for comment, but I would like to find out how many of my reader/viewers are in a situation where you or your loved ones are the first college graduates in the history of your family.

What type of reactions and impact does this have on younger (or older) siblings?
Are there any areas of concern to be aware of?

Storage facilities required!

Mike pulls in alongside Fonville and put together a storage building for Mr. Lara and the students at Fonville. As an elementary group sang, 'A garden's work is never done.' The tools required will find a happy home in this shed.

Michael is also a product of the leadership program from 1997 and has demonstrated leadership in many different areas in his life. Thanks for taking part in this class as well Mike!

the solution? MAMBO!

I love Latin Music! I wish I could dance (without embarrasing everyone around me)... but when I saw this, I thought of everything that goes into the heart of a person who faces obstacles and finds joy in doing something well. If you just want to feel the energy from a quick video (that is amazing), I hope you will take the time to Mambo!

P.S. 5/3/07 1:25am
Someone found it to their benefit to get into my driveway and take my little gas-saver from my possession. The alarm went off, but the car was gone by the time we got to the front door. I guess today begins the discovery of what needs to be removed from my heart to discover the JOY. I guess it's time to learn to Mambo!
