Happy BDay D!

Thank you to all who made Dahila's "15th" birthday a real surprise. It has been 21 years since she had a surprise, and then she didn't have a Harley Pinata!

It was so much fun, and I appreciate all who took time to make this day special.

Dad turned 79 today!

I am overjoyed that I was able to spend this day with my Dad to celebrate his 79th birthday. It was only 4 months ago that a thought compelled me to evaluate how much I treasured time spent with my parents. Then 2 months ago my Pops suffered a debilitating stroke which paralyzed his right side. As you will see in these pictures, he is now much better. Thanks to all those who pray and support my family. The evidence of miraculous recovery is evident in his ability to now walk (even without the walker), use his right hand and carry on full conversations.
I appreciate all who have helped my Dad get this far in his life.

Mom (seated) turned 71 on April 5. It was good to see more of our family as we visited Dad and celebrated Mom! The food was fantastico - especially the dessert.

the Menchaca Family rallied around Granpa for his 99th cumpleaños. My suegra also celebrates her birthday, but its more like 15 years. Lisa's twins also have the same birthday (July 16, 2007).

Celebrating Leroy's 48th Birthday at Olive Garden. It was so good to walk behind Leroy as he wolked into one of his favorite places to eat. The evening was complete with the Olive Garden singers, as well as his Mom, sisters, nieces and nephew present to give thanks to God for another year of life.

Mom set up a weekend for us at Slumber Falls on the Guadalupe River. My uncles & aunts all showed up! Floyd was there from San Angelo, and Marty & Wayne were there from Brady. Cousin Christy also came up from Brady with her kids. Floyd's boy, Chucky, couldn't come because of the several inches of snow that fell on San Angelo... in April! Crazy Texas weather. If you don't like it, just wait. It'll change in 30 minutes. :)
