Mom's little baby

Mom has some pretty cool plants around the house - she called this beautiful flower 'her baby.'  But I know her REAL 'Babe' has a mustache and also loves her back (for 54 years now)!

It was good to spend Father's Day with my POPS!  We went to eat at "Pico de Gallo" [roughly translated: beak of the rooster - or rooster lips] (I personally like the name rooster lips - more on that later) 

The 'Live Music' guy asked all the patrons over the microphone, and my Dad was the Father with the most years under his (ever tightening) belt that day!!!  

 A GREAT time was had by all.

Stepping it up!

Well - Mom said that she got to watch Dad walk today... bending his right knee and everything!!! Can't hardly wait to see him tomorrow and watch the action!

Thank You to all who are supporting in every way. I ask that you remember Dahlia's father as well... he will have heart related surgery on Monday, February 25, 2008. Serious - and of great concern. Any word of encouragement you can give her is appreciated.

Galveston. TX

Mom & Dad came to the SilverLeaf Seaside Resort on Galveston Island this week for a much needed time of rest. My sister and I visited, and others of the family are hoping to come as well through the week. Mom will celebrate her 70th birthday next weekend, if God wills, and more of the family will be going to Slumber Falls for that celebration as well. I was able to visit for a few brief hours and woke to see my first sunrise in a long time. I enjoyed the rest overnight (I always rest well at the coast for some unexplained reason. It's good to be close to family again.
