Hurricane Ike

Our Hurricane Fatigue rhetoric has finally kicked in for this season.  The storms have been more frequent, and more impactful in recent times, but nothing that should surprise those who know.  In so many ways, this is simply an opportunity to begin to trust less in things material, and more in things eternal.

I wish the calendar of this storm path was different because I really wanted to ride to Kemah and not be in the cage for this trip.  Time will tell, and hopefully the forced one way traffic  of inland bound highway will not impede our South-bound travels.

Wouldn't it be cool to see this thing [Hurricane Ike] dissipate in the Gulf all on it's own?  Couldn't help but imagine that in the wee hours of this morning as I contemplated the Power of the God of Creation.
